Outbound Engine

Find ideal-customer prospects, draft on-brand emails, and run multi-touch campaigns.

Overview

Outbound is the K99 layer that finds prospects, drafts on-brand outreach, sends it from a warmed inbox, and reports on what worked. Think of it as a one-person BDR team that never forgets to follow up β€” built specifically for small luxury and B2B brands that can't justify a full sales-ops stack.

The outbound pipeline

  1. ICP definition β€” describe your ideal customer in plain English (e.g. β€œindependent jewelry boutiques in the Northeast US with $1M–$5M annual revenue, family-owned, no online presence yet”).
  2. Sourcing β€” Outbound queries first-party (your CRM), public business directories, and OpenClaw playbooks to assemble a candidate list.
  3. Enrichment β€” for each candidate, OpenClaw fills in buyer name, role, email, LinkedIn, and recent press / signal events.
  4. Drafting β€” Outbound writes a 3-touch sequence per prospect, in your voice, referencing their actual store / signal.
  5. Sending β€” emails go out from a dedicated subdomain on a schedule that respects warmup, time zones, and engagement signals.
  6. Reply triage β€” replies are classified (interested / not interested / out-of-office / unsubscribe / question), and only the β€œinterested” bucket reaches your inbox.

Deliverability is non-negotiable

Sending bad email burns your domain. Outbound is built around three principles to protect your reputation:

  • Dedicated subdomain β€” Outbound sends from hello.your-domain.com, never from your transactional domain.
  • Automated SPF / DKIM / DMARC β€” wired up at onboarding; we won't send a single email until alignment is verified.
  • Warmup & throttle β€” new domains start at 20 sends/day and ramp over 4 weeks. Existing domains stay throttled to maintain >30% open rates.

Warning

If your reply rate or bounce rate crosses unhealthy thresholds, Outbound will automatically pause the campaign and alert you. This is a feature.

Keeping it on-brand

The drafting model uses two artifacts you author once:

  • Voice card β€” a short paragraph + 3–5 example emails you'd be proud to send.
  • Knowledge pack β€” your story, why-now, social proof, and a list of objections-to-address.

Every draft is then quality-graded against the voice card before sending, and any draft below the threshold is queued for human edit instead of auto-sent.

What you see

The Outbound dashboard at /admin/outbound shows:

  • Sends, opens, replies, meetings booked β€” by day, campaign, and persona
  • The 10 best- and worst-performing subject lines this week
  • Cost-per-meeting, end-to-end (sourcing + enrichment + sends + your time)
  • A live preview of the next 24 hours of scheduled sends, so you can pause anything that looks off
