Set up sales commission tracking.
Overview
Katura's commission tracking is designed specifically for jewelry retail, where sales associates often earn commissions on high-value items. Set up commission rules that automatically calculate earnings based on sales data.
Commission types
| Type | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Flat percentage | A fixed percentage of the sale price | 5% of every sale |
| Tiered percentage | Higher rates for higher sale amounts | 3% up to $1,000, 5% from $1,000β$5,000, 7% over $5,000 |
| Flat amount | A fixed dollar amount per sale | $50 per engagement ring sale |
| Product-based | Different rates for different product categories | 10% on custom designs, 3% on accessories |
Setting up commissions
- Go to Team β Commission Rules
- Click Add Rule
- Choose the commission type and configure the rates
- Assign the rule to specific employees or roles
- Set the effective date
- Click Save
Note
Commissions are automatically calculated when orders are marked as paid. You can view pending commissions in Team β Commission Report and they're automatically included in payroll runs.
