SEO redirects
Preserve your search rankings during migration.
Overview
When you migrate to Katura, your product URLs change. Set up 301 redirects to preserve your search engine rankings and avoid broken links.
Why redirects matter
If a customer or search engine tries to visit your old product URL and gets a 404 error, you lose that traffic and your search ranking drops. A 301 redirect tells search engines the page has permanently moved to a new URL.
Setting up redirects
Katura supports redirects through the vercel.json configuration:
- Export a list of your old product URLs from your previous platform
- Map each old URL to its new Katura URL
- Add redirect rules to your
vercel.jsonfile - Deploy β redirects take effect immediately
Warning
Set up redirects before deactivating your old store. Search engines may take weeks to re-crawl, so timing matters.
Common URL patterns

|---|---|---|
| Shopify | /products/handle | /products/handle (same!) |
| WooCommerce | /product/slug | /products/slug |
