Verify your imported data and fix common issues.

Overview

After importing data from any platform, run through this checklist to ensure everything transferred correctly.

Verification checklist

  1. Product count β€” compare the number of products in Katura vs. your old platform
  2. Prices β€” spot-check 10–20 products to confirm prices match
  3. Variants β€” verify size/color/material variants imported correctly
  4. Images β€” confirm product images loaded and aren't broken
  5. Collections β€” check that products are assigned to the correct collections
  6. Customers β€” verify customer count and spot-check email addresses
  7. Order history β€” confirm historical orders appear with correct totals
  8. Inventory β€” check stock levels match your current inventory

Tip

Keep your old platform active for at least 30 days after migration so you can cross-reference any discrepancies.

Common issues

  • Missing images β€” re-upload manually or re-run the image import
  • Wrong prices β€” usually a currency formatting issue in the CSV (comma vs. period for decimals)
  • Duplicate customers β€” merge duplicates from Customers β†’ Merge
