Post-import verification

Overview

After importing data from any platform, run through this checklist to ensure everything transferred correctly.

Verification checklist

1. Product count — compare the number of products in Katura vs. your old platform
2. Prices — spot-check 10–20 products to confirm prices match
3. Variants — verify size/color/material variants imported correctly
4. Images — confirm product images loaded and aren't broken
5. Collections — check that products are assigned to the correct collections
6. Customers — verify customer count and spot-check email addresses
7. Order history — confirm historical orders appear with correct totals
8. Inventory — check stock levels match your current inventory

Common issues

• Missing images — re-upload manually or re-run the image import
• Wrong prices — usually a currency formatting issue in the CSV (comma vs. period for decimals)
• Duplicate customers — merge duplicates from Customers → Merge
