Flash sales create urgency and drive quick revenue. Katura supports time-limited promotions with automatic start and end dates.
Setting up a flash sale
- Create a promotion at Marketing β Promotions
- Set the start date (when the sale begins)
- Set the end date (when the sale expires automatically)
- Configure the discount (percentage or fixed amount)
- Optionally set a usage limit (e.g., first 50 uses only)
- Create an email campaign announcing the sale
Flash sale best practices
- Duration β 24β48 hours works best for urgency
- Discount depth β 15β25% is the sweet spot for jewelry
- Exclusions β consider excluding new arrivals and bestsellers
- Communication β announce via email, social media, and homepage banner
