Email deliverability
Katura uses Brevo (formerly SendinBlue) for enterprise-grade email deliverability. Your email campaigns are sent through Brevo's infrastructure, ensuring high inbox placement rates.
Tip
For the best email deliverability, configure your custom sending domain in Marketing β Email β Settings. This authenticates your emails with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
Deliverability deep-dive
Inbox placement is the difference between a campaign that drives revenue and one that disappears. Katura authenticates every send three ways and continuously monitors your sender reputation.
| Mechanism | What it does | How Katura sets it up |
|---|---|---|
| SPF | Tells receiving servers which IPs are allowed to send for your domain | One DNS TXT record, generated for you |
| DKIM | Cryptographically signs every message so it can't be spoofed | Two CNAME records, copy-pasteable from Settings β Email β Domain |
| DMARC | Tells receivers what to do with unauthenticated mail and reports back to you | One TXT record; we recommend p=quarantine after 14 days of clean SPF/DKIM |
| BIMI | Shows your logo next to messages in supporting inboxes (Gmail, Yahoo, Apple Mail) | Optional β needs a VMC certificate from a CA |
The platform monitors bounce rate, complaint rate, and Postmaster Tools data daily. If your reputation drops below the safe threshold, you'll get an alert before campaigns get throttled.
Send-time science for jewelry
Across the Katura customer base, the highest engagement windows for jewelry email are Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 1pm in the recipient's local timezone. Engagement-ring promos peak in the eight weeks before Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day, with a smaller bump in late September (proposal season).
The campaign builder offers a Send-time optimization toggle that uses each recipient's past open behavior to pick the best send time per person. Recommended for lists over 5,000.
Automated flows
- Welcome series β 3 emails over 10 days for new subscribers. Average +14% LTV vs. no flow.
- Abandoned cart β fires at 1h, 24h, and 72h. Recovers ~9% of lost carts.
- Browse abandonment β for high-value SKUs (rings > $2,000) someone viewed but didn't add to cart.
- Post-purchase nurture β care instructions, warranty registration, and a 60-day check-in.
- Win-back β for customers who haven't purchased in 12+ months.
- Birthday / anniversary β pulls dates from CRM contact records and sends a tailored offer.

Build segments by combining customer attributes and behaviors with AND/OR logic. Common segments for jewelers:
