Overview
Group customers into segments for targeted marketing. Segments can be based on purchase behavior, demographics, or custom tags.
Creating segments
Go to Marketing β Segments and create rules based on:
- Spending β total spent above/below a threshold
- Order count β number of orders placed
- Recency β last purchase date
- Tags β custom tags applied to customer profiles
- Marketing consent β email or SMS opt-in status
- Registration β has account vs. guest
Using segments
Segments are used for:
- Email campaigns β send targeted campaigns to specific segments
- Promotions β create segment-exclusive discount codes
- Analytics β compare performance across customer groups
Tip
The 80/20 Pareto analysis on your Customers page automatically identifies your top spenders. Use this to create a "VIP" segment for exclusive offers and early access to new collections.
