Overview

Group customers into segments for targeted marketing. Segments can be based on purchase behavior, demographics, or custom tags.

Creating segments

Go to Marketing β†’ Segments and create rules based on:

  • Spending β€” total spent above/below a threshold
  • Order count β€” number of orders placed
  • Recency β€” last purchase date
  • Tags β€” custom tags applied to customer profiles
  • Marketing consent β€” email or SMS opt-in status
  • Registration β€” has account vs. guest

Using segments

Segments are used for:

  • Email campaigns β€” send targeted campaigns to specific segments
  • Promotions β€” create segment-exclusive discount codes
  • Analytics β€” compare performance across customer groups

Tip

The 80/20 Pareto analysis on your Customers page automatically identifies your top spenders. Use this to create a "VIP" segment for exclusive offers and early access to new collections.
